The great "I give up" thingie :P

So, I have released a new version of the game where I have removed the anti lag script. Please tell me if the game is better now. You may encounter maps with intense lag, but this is the price we have to pay for the moment. I will seek a new way of fixing the lag issues on some maps, but for now, the anti lag script has to go... So many issues that aren't fixed when fixing them because they are fucked :P

In any case, please test this version out and tell me if the hanging freezes disappear!

Edit: One case of the freeze has been confirmed to still happen, however I would like for you guys to try some of the other ones that used to freeze the game in case it is my fix to this particular freeze that caused it to freeze now.

Fix release AloneXP 7.3.4 - + 2 new sex scenes

This release is once again to fix some of the bugs plaguing the game. The freezes are a bitch, and I'm playing with the thought of removing the bloody script and hoping to find another way to reduce lag...
Don't think I'll find any other way though so I'll try releasing this fix. If the mentioned fixes don't work please tell me, as I'm obviously doing something wrong then. 

Anyway, here's what happened since last time.

Content

-Added 2 New sleeping quests scenes, making way for a special event.

Fixes

-Hopefully fixed second noble bugging out in castle

-Fixed Delangue paintings in the museum

-Fixed Michelle quest freezing game when talking about starting her carreer

-Fixed Several instances of freezing in the Cimex caves.

-Fixed freeze when entering the slums with Michelle on her first mission down there.

-^Fixed several crashes after event began.

-Fixed another part of Michelle's questline crashing, where you wait with the coward "archer" guard.

-Fixed bug where game would freeze at the divines farm when divine was confronted by Julia when entering.


Comments

-Was informed of a bug where you could give the naked woman in Fuar her coat before initiating quest, but I am unable to recreate the bug. If you have a save before this happens, please send it.

-The elven ambassador is not in the game as of yet I'm afraid. That is where the current game's mainquest ends.
Thanks for the patience, it means a lot! I'm still trying to work out what the best way of dealing with this crap is, so hopefully, if this way of fixing this works I can continue working on it, if not I'll have to find a way to make the game work smoothly (smooth-ish as the xp engine lags a bit regardless :P) without the anti lag script.

Crouler is back'ish

Hello everyone and thanks for the long absence. I had to leave for a while, and came back last Friday. I've written 2 new sex scenes but nothing else.

Why you may ask? Dragon age Inquisition would be my answer. Mixed with university stuff, that shit takes up a lot of time :P lol, in any case, I have put aside a few hours tomorrow and the day after tomorrow to work on the game, so I will once again go through bug reports and release another fix if possible.

Again, sorry for the delay, but I just can't drag myself away from Dragon age xD

Patch 7.3.3(and a bit)

Okay, so it's been a while since I got to make a post. I've been put back in the drivers seat(sorta), Crouler has serious real life shite to take care of and wont be back until next weekend(or so he says). And so I was given the Dev version of the game to fix all the Oni Onsen bugs...and it was easy. I ran through it a few time, fixed what I found, and it seems to be fine now(though play testing through rpg maker might be different than clicking Game.exe). I think I got all the bugs people mentioned, and before Crouler handed the game over he said he fixed a few things too....

Crouler: They were really minor so I don't think I had any intention of writing them down as most                     people wouldn't realize. Small things like animations fucking up slightly. Unfortunately I                     have not had time to fix any more of the game breakers...

So, this is your lot. The Onsen should work now, and some small things got fixed. I don't intend to fix any bugs outside of the Onsen, I don't have the knowledge or the wherewithal to fix any of the others(Crouler is much more savvy with it and seems to know what the problem is). Sorry.

Please post any bugs I may have missed with the onsen in this patch(if any problem persist then I'll know rpgm Play Test isn't reliable). Also, since I have your attention, I'd like to get everyone's opinion about my mini quests. The latest I've done is the Oni Onsen(not really a quest, more an introduction), and the other is the quest related to the T. Facility(the whole warpcrystal thing). 
Did you enjoy them? Were they too different from the rest of the game? Should I make a few more, or should I stop now before I cause any real harm?

Patch 7.3.2

New patch out.

Fixes:

  • Fixed Deserters crash after sending them back.
  • Fixed Ceeves Ocean Castle freezes.
  • Fixed Freezing from Several instances of the Lej Vahk Questline. (At each spell learned)
  • Fixed being unable to exit baths at player-castle.
Big thanks to Zero for uploading a savefile! It helped locate the freeze issue!

I ask all who had questions or other comments that needed my response without be responding to repost them in this post. Due to the high amount of bugs I've been busy and might have forgotten to answer questions where I told myself to do it later. So, please ask again and I'll do my best to answer them!

Known bugs remaining:
  • First Court meeting giving issues and sprites getting stuck.

Issues to deal with

So, I think I have found the issue at hand...

Basically, whenever I ask the game to "wait until XXXXX has happened" the game crashes...

Now, this means that there will be a fuckton of issues to fix and lots of doors that will now have to be redone. I still suspect that the script is what is causing this, but atleast I think I know how it does it now, and with that I can start fixing it.

But this also means it is a huge amount of work. I ask you guys to tell me whenever you find anything that makes the game "stop" or maybe better placed, freezes the player. As the game seems to be running, but the player remains immobile. I'll begin fixing these issues now, but I'm afraid this will be a long process. The game has thousands of small events that I've made using some commands that seem to be crashing the game now, and I'll likely not find them all right away.

So, please keep reporting places where the player freeze happens, and I will do my best to post periodical patches to fix this new bullshit problem lol.

Patch 7.3.1

I would like to first apologize for the late patch.
I meant to fix the game last Saturday, but some things turned out to go against that, so unfortunately the fix had to wait till now.

In any case, a lot of weird crap has happened in the game, and I blame an anti lag script in the game. Unfortunately I can't remove it as the game would become a laggy mess, so I will have to fix all instances where characters cause this by walking too far away from the player. In any case, crashes and freezes should be fixed. At least all that I found in the bug reports and such.


Fix log:
  • Tried a fix for Crashes at doors - This has disabled all incomes, so incomes are not functioning for a while. (Fuck incomes, I hate them >.< So many bugs xD)
  • Fixed scene at the mansion west of Rei-Long Oak, which ended in a dark screen.
  • Fixed Blackscreen after defeating Sifael and Jane in Fuar.
  • Fixed Casino pictures not deleting after pressing "leave"
  • Fixed several issues with onsen quest, such as teleports and such. (Some may remain, as I don't know entirely how the quest works, and might have to let Mugginns do these fixxes)
  • Fixed an old issue (how didn't we find this until now, lol xD) where Cam (red soldier in everlight) could make the game get stuck.
  • Fixed Siné somehow suddently fucking up... Seriously, I changed nothing here, and somehow the event suddently fucked up...<.<
  • Fixed another issue (once again, somehow a new one appeared without any changes done <.<) where the tour of the casino got stuck.
  • Fixed The sex priest in the temple getting stuck for some reason... (What the fuck... The game is haunted with bugs that appeared with no change made to the events lol)
  • Fixed a few places in the castle kitchens where the walls didn't block the player.
  • Hopefully fixed issue where the player would sometimes get an error saying "Not enough summoning mana" when trying to summon a creature, even when at full mana.
  • Possibly fixed issue where Carrie (Michelles questline) would be 2 places at the same time. 
  • Fixed issue where some characters remained in the throne room of the castle when they should be in the divines office. If they remain bugged, please report who and at which throne room upgrade.


Notes on release:

Please note that the detective quests are fucked and low on priorities since I expect that I will need to completely redo all of them <.<

Edit: Can someone send me a savefile with the issue at the castle gates where the game freezes? Just upload it somewhere and I'll take a look.

Edit 2: I will look at the game again tomorrow or the day after tomorrow when I have time to go through the new reports and the old ones not fixed yet. 

So far I have fixed Cam again, as for some reason the fix I did last time was lost when I uploaded it <.< In any case, tomorrow or the day after I'll be fixing reports still unfixed. Please keep posting new reports until then! :D

Update log 25-10-14 + Release AloneXP Ver. 7.3 (Bug runs, not bug free!)

I managed to make enough content for me to deem it ready for release. It's been a while since the last release, so thanks for your patience! :D

Anyway, first of all, let's get today's update log out of the way.

Content

  • Added 2 Voyeur scenes to Carrie's mansion
    • They are random, and won't always be there when entering.
  • Added new girl to carries Mansion, currently only meet able at the bridge outside the mansion.
  • Added new small area. Currently not much happens there, more will be added later.
  • Added new encounter with Jane and Sifael.
  • Added the museum workers that will hang paintings in the museum. (Not sure if they were mentioned earlier so saying it now)
  • Do all sex scenes function properly? (No dreaded black screen after scene? :P)
That's the log out of the way.

Now, for the new release.

I'd like to point out that there are a few things still fucked.
I have yet to find a fix for suddenly being unable to summon, the income system has not been tweaked. Sorry, I think the next few releases will be more fix and tweak based than content based.

Now, for things I'd like to know from you guys, as some changes have been made, so please focus on:

  • Are there any in between map issues? When going from one map to another, or getting teleported, do they fuck up?
  • Is the summoning system more ballanced? Too OP? Too weak?
  • Does the new picture system work for the castle? (Casino questline, 3 pictures currently available all currently found with Jane and Sifael)
  • Quest issues with Oni Oni onsen? (Can be found east of Fuar)

Any other bugs are obviously also taken seriously, but these are the things I suspect may have a few issues.

Sorry about not answering since last sunday. I will be looking at all reports Saturday, but unfortunately that will be the only day in this week where I have time to do anything! So, I always thought I was the only one who experienced this, but it would seem it is a general issue with the blog. Sometimes when people write and press "post" the post isn't posted...

What I normally do is I copy everything I wrote before posting and if it fails I simply paste everything back in and it works the second time.

I'm thinking of moving the blog as I've had a lot of issues with google's blogs...

Update log 24-10-14

Content

  • Added New paintings, (Actual paintings in the world) with following viewable pictures for the casino questline. Currently 2 in game, 16 in all, however the next few will be a lot faster as making the sprites and pictures is half the work. (Making pictures just means making them compatible, I don't draw them myself xD) 
  • Added 2 new encounters for Casino paintings questline. Meet Jane Orc Slayer and Sifael!
  • Added New journal entries for existing content.

Spent a good 5 hours of work on the game today. Whenever you need to custom make sprites and add the paintings to small sprites it takes forever...

I expect to be able to do all of the pictures fairly quickly and I will be adding more pictures so the Casino questline can proceed. I found this pretty fun and will be
working on this for a while as writing porn scenes in general is tedious work. The sooner our newest member is ready the better as he has offered to write scenes for me.

In any case, that is it for today! I need a break for the rest of the day... Which is like half an hour lol xD

Update log 22-10-14

Just a quick update on how things are going, nothing more this time I'm afraid! :P

  • Integrated the last of Oni Oni Onsen to the game.

Update log 17-10-14

So, I managed to put a decent amount of stuff into the game today, and I wanted to share the progress on the blog!

Content:

  • Did some major tweaks to summoning
    • All creatures have more than quadrupled in health and some have had raised their mana.
    • All creatures have had significant stat boosts, often 2 to 3 times more than original, and even 5 to 6 times more in some cases.
      • As I mentioned in the last post, I want this to work. I came up with the system, and I don't think anyone else have used a summoning system, so I really want to make it work :P
  • Added 3 New parts to the brothel questline.
  • Added recruitable prostitute. (No scenes yet, questline is more important for now.)
That's it for today. Hopefully I'll get enough done in the near future to justify more frequent updates on the blog.

Update log 16-10-14

So, just some things I want to let you guys know.

I'm still not with my own computer as I'm still visiting family. I did take the game with me so I could work on it, but I realized how much of a habit person I am. It's nearly impossible to work with stuff I'm no longer used to. Therefor I have decided to instead flesh out some improvements I wish to do. I'm writing them in a way that can pretty much allow me to do this in a  matter if a few hours when I get back to my own computer.

Anyway, these are the things that I can and will do here.


  • Tweaking summoning.
    • I will be buffing pretty much everything, making it all much stronger and more durable.
      • So, to be honest, the summoning system is something I'm proud of. I personally find it very unique in the rpg maker genre and I've spent a long time making it better. From the old pre-match summoning, to the actual skill, I have spent a lot of time and thought making it work.

        And to be true, it makes me sad when I know no one really uses it because it is useless :P So I will be majorly buffing all summonings. Here's what I'll do.
        • Huge buff to health
          • Currently they all die to easily and they aren't worth healing, so I'll make them much harder to kill, which will make them better taknks and take more hits away from the player, hopefully making them better partners.
        • Attack buff
          • Their attack is pretty weak, and many don't want to waste a turn summoning them due to their small hits. I wish to make them not only slightly tougher in health and defence but also in hits. They should not hit 100 while the player is slashing with several thousands of damage.
        • With these two things in mind I hope people will be using the summons more, so people can unlock the higher tiers of summons. The highest tiers and the special summons. This is likely to leave the game in a period of unballance until I make the summons just right, but I really want to make it a viable option.
    • I have also though of making 2 different catagories of summons. Attack and defence. These are pretty self explanatory, but I'll give a bit of info.
        • One side will be the tough creatures which will have tons of health and mainly buffs rather than attacks. The other will be attackers who will be heavy hitters but with only a low amount of health, making them die in a few rounds.
      • I'm not to sure if I will implement the attack and defence part as I'd rather keep it as is, but maybe the other thing would be more ballanced, I am not sure.
  • Filling empty areas
    • I will be adding a lot of quests to the now empty areas or at least stuff to do.
      • Currently, the world is so pretty, thanks to all the great mappers who decided to help me, and it's a shame that so much of the game is currently just there. But let me assure you, it has always been the plan to fill it all up.
        • All cities will be at Everlight VIllage, Rei-Long Oak and Capital standard in quests, and even more, as more quests will come in them as well.
        • All exploration areas will have more stuff to do. This includes quests, treasure and other small things that will make the player want to be there, not just go through there to get somewhere else... Hopefully :P
        • The houses and other places will have more stuff. While houses could just be there for the rpg feel, that isn't entirely my intention. I wish to make the player want to see what's inside. While not everything will have something, a lot of places will. Both quests and other random stuff that will make the player want to explore... Hopefully... Again :P Especially places like the giant mansion to the west of Rei-Long Oak, which will have major roles and tons of content to make the player want to visit the places frequently to unlock new stuff and try new things such as party events, unique people events and so on.
These are the things I have started working on. Not in game making it ready for in game.

The summoning tweaks are quick, but obviously all quest things take ages. Hopefully you guys will like what is coming up when it is released next. I can't give any date yet, but hopefully it will be in the near future.

Things fixed.

Issue wasn't that great, no worries. I went to a place where my old computer no longer had a monitor that worked with it :P Just needed some new cables, and I have those now. Tonight and tomorrow I can work a bit again, and when I get back home I can do even more as it feels kinda clunky working on this computer when I'm used to my other one :P

In any case, things are solved and there are no problems anymore! I'll try doing something now and tomorrow, so hopefully I have something to report tomorrow.

Todays news! Update report 03-10-14

I'm back! With the game this time, mind you :P

Mugginns just delivered the game to me, and I shall once again start working on it. He did some awesome stuff with the new area, and it looks amazing.

So, about the content:

I can however say that I won't have as much time as I had last year. I'm settled at my new place, but I have a ton of work for university, and it sucks with the amount of reading I have to do...

My mind is starting to unravel, like a tapestry being attacked by hundreds of kittens and their tiny claws(Update 28-09-2014)

For those of you wondering about the title of this post; the other day I could hear a cow in the far distance. It was mooing a lot in an almost distressed way, this went on for about 20 minutes or so. Then suddenly the mooing was replaced with chainsaws for 3 hours.There was no more mooing afterwards.
On a more upbeat note, I've made some good progress with the quest. The quest itself could be finished tomorrow, but the area itself will take a while longer. I'm going to need more custom made sprites for a start, then there's all the stuff for when the onsen is open for business. It opens up a few possibilities that I know Crouler would like to use later on.

To the Anon who was asking about there being more 'hardcore' content, Crouler had this to say;
"just say how the rooms will work and that the prison is for normal prisoners"-Crouler

He seems to have things planned out, though he's none to happy about writing snuff scenes. But he thinks the choice should be available to those who want it.

And to the Anon who asked about army building and campaigns, Crouler has a plan. When I mentioned it to him, he started waxing lyrical about "The Outpost System". It seems that the player will, by degrees, be able to tame the wilderness. There was some other stuff in there but I think I've said enough.

Some Info on the Very Near Future

I want to apologies for the very slow rate of progress and lack of updates. Things got in the way, and Destiny leeched more time from me than it should have, but not too much. I finished(I think) all the immediate materials need to start putting the quest together. Work proper will star tomorrow since today was spent mostly on making graphics, polishing two big orange balls, and re-sizing  some boobs(with the help of Naki). I did a little of the start of the quest and turns out I'm a little rusty with rpg make, though there should be good progress(I hope).
That's about it.

(It's a bit of a story, but I'm trying to drag out the sketch work I have until the quest gets done)

This(Version 01) was the first sketch I made with my tablet using GIMP. I didn't really go anywhere with it and so it never got finished. A couple of months down the line I got photoshop and started doodling and practicing with my tablet. I can't remember how but I ended up showing Crouler Version 01, and he mentioned to me he was looking for a specific character. I offered to make it for him. I used Version 01 to make Draft 01(which is finished and in Croulers possession). I later went back and redid the original which turned into this; Version 02. It's not likely to get finished either, but I still have it if I need it.

Some info on the near future :)

So, hello everyone! It's been a while!

Things have started to settle down, and unfortunately, we have little to show for the long absence of updates. Sorry about that, things have been stressful lately :)

In any case, currently the other members are working on the game as I try to get real life under control. Education is a bitch...

So, basically, I plan on taking time off until Muggins is done with what he is doing and the misspellings and such have been corrected by our newest member. (Once again I can only remember his real name, so I shall not give that on :P)

That is pretty much it for now! I look forward to starting again, as it has been a long time since I last did much on the game and the break has really helped re-spark the flame for the game!

Getting Back On Track

Okay,so not a whole lot to report,unless we're talking about Destiny,in which case this'll be quite a full post. But since none of you are here for that, I'll set it aside for someone who could give a shit.
Anyway,in between all the hours I've poured into said game in the last few day, I did get some work done in the form of two sprites and a bit more dialogue. Not much(again) but I am gonna start putting more time into the game(AloneXP, not Destiny). All that's left on the list for now is finish the dialogue and the battlers. That said, despite the amount of work going in, there won't be much to report anyway.
"I done some colouring in today. It was nice" isn't gonna be worth posting. Could be a week until I get the 1-and-a-bit pictures done, after that it'll be sticking everything into the maps and a bit of testing. If I think the quest is good to go and Crouler is Still MIA, then I might throw out a beta release for bug hunters(and everyone else obviously). But, if it turns out Crouler has content in the version he sent me that he doesn't want released then we'll all just have to sit pretty.

Destiny Awaits

One custom made sprite finished. Don't talk to me about shinny red arses and big orange balls,I've seen enough to last me a lifetime. Or until I need to make him another sprite, but I won't enjoy it. Work has been surprisingly slow I'll admit. In the last 5 days I've managed to make one sprite, but to be fair it was more like 3 and a half(one of the gobshites in my house nicked the HDMI cable for my desktop), and I've no talent or any real experience for pixel art. That said, the remaining sprite should be much quicker to do since it's human sized.
As for the title of this post,well yeah,Destiny was released today and I gots me a copy. This being the case, work for the next couple of days might be a little slow.

This could be tricky(Update 04--09-2014)

Okay,so despite being whisked away all day yesterday and the day before I got a good portion of the work done. I would say most of the dialogue is done,though I might rewrite it at some point(I'm not entirely satisfied with it so far,and Crouler might have some objections/opinions with some of the language).
I realised a little while ago that I need the sprites for these two characters and I would have to make them myself. For the last hour or so I have been googling furiously trying to find some sprite maker program that would help. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any that also do large,ogre sized sprites. If I'm honest,I don't have much faith in my pixel art capabilities. It could go well,or it could look like a 5 year old did it.

Update 31-08-2014

Okay,so the maps are just about done. They turned out a bit bigger than expected but that shouldn't really be a problem at all,and at any rate I'm really happy with them. I had to make a few autotiles,which I probably could have googled but that would have taken long(and I'm liable to get distracted).
Next step is to start connecting the maps and adding Croulers game systems,but this could take a while to get them all since I'm not familiar with them. After that it's adding people and the script for the quest.

Best Laid Plans And All That

Okay,as you know,Crouler is pretty busy at the moment and has left the game in the hands of me and Naki. I had planned to make a new section of Fuar and add a mini quest to introduce two new characters but for the last week the demand for my time has never been higher.
That said,I now have time to start work on a few maps and character design. The far east of Fuar(Snow Town) is accessible at the moment, but I plan to plonk down some hot-springs and a brand-spanking-new Onsen(I admit I really like making them).
And on a minor note,I am also now the teams only fledgling artist. Don't expect anything amazing, I'm only making a few battlers and such. I'm not gonna be replacing all the ingame art with my own,that would take more time and skill than I have. I've already made a battler for Crouler, and one for myself. I have a third underway but I want to finish the maps and dialogue before continuing with it. I may post some of the sketches from time to time if there's any interest in it.

Not a whole lot to report but it's better than no posts for a week. I'll be posting my progress every couple of days until Crouler returns.

About the lack of updates.

So, most of you probably noticed that there is very little updates on the game.

So, basically, that is true. I'm in the middle of moving, and I can do little.
I have done some things since last time, but it is not enough to justify writing about it here.

I plan on giving the game to mugginns Naki and now our newest member. (I forgot his name on the blog, and I don't think he wants me to post his real name, so I'll keep it at that :P)

Hopefully they will be able to work a bit on the game in my absence, though I promise nothing, and they shouldn't either. We're all working on this as a hobby, so hopefully everyone is OK with this.

In any case, that is all I wanted to say for now. I will try and keep you guys posted on what is happening as there will be a period where I won't be able to do a whole lot on the game.

Update log - 09-08-14

Long time no see! I have been a lazy ass, I admit, but I wish to tell you guys about what has been made (Not a whole lot) and of what will be focused on now and till the next release.

So basically, here's what I've done,
Content:
  • Added Elevated priest Lisanne to the game (Note: Elevated priest, position just before high priest)
    • Lisanne is the leader of the priests at the player castle. She will have many things to do. MANY!
  • Added Elevated Priest Rochelle to the game
    • Sleeping quests from VX are coming! :D
So, some of you may remember the sleeping quests from VX. Yeah, totally coming back. In any case, let's take things from an end here.

So, I previously said I'd be working on the party system, and I have done some things with this, but I've been going dead when doing so, as I find that I have been doing things which are very repetitive. Therefor, the party system has been pushed back and the 2 lovely ladies mentioned above have been put as the next stuff to make instead! Rejoice! For me anyway xD

So, what does this mean, and what will they do?

Well first of all, any castle related stuff, except for Lisanne will be pushed back to give me a breather to do what I want to do so I don't burn out any more than I already am. This is one of the reasons I haven't done a whole lot, so I apologize.

Secondly, it means that we will see the sleeping questline re-introduced and that we will have a lot of stuff for the priests of the castle, with each of these ladies. 

The sleeping quests, for those of you who didn't try them in VX, are quests where the divine is asked to help impregnate people on behalf of the church. 
These quests will be expanded from the only sleeping people of the VX version, to a more serious one in this one. 

The parents or lover of a target will hire or ask the church to help, and if the target is against it it will be while the target is sleeping, which will be the majority of the cases, however some times might simply be someone who wishes for a child.

The priests in the castle:

This is not only quests, but a system where you can reward priests and set up rules for them should you want to. I don't want to add too much info as of yet, but you can use your imagination and imagine how rewarding priests will work, or how ordering them to help you with something will work. :P

That's it for now! Again, sorry for being a lazy idiot! I hope to get more done in the near future now that I can do something entertaining rather than slavedriving myself with stuff I've been working on for months, or stuff similar to stuff I've been working on for the same amount of time. xD

Also, I really appreciate how loyal you guys are! Even though we haven't posted very often lately, our views on the blog didn't fall by more than a few percent, and that warms my old perverted heart!

hard drive failure

So the HD in my laptop encountered a stupid error. Which means I have to start from factory default. I lost all old maps-again. Also I no longer have my RPGmaker XP. I was using a less than...savory version, I can't afford a copy. So i will have to wait on making maps until I get a big enough check in.

On the current build work

So, just heading in here and writing to let you guys know why things are slow, and some other things obviously.

So basically, it's so fucking hot right now, that I'm dying... I love the summer and the nice hot weather, but my room is 35C all day and night, and my computer isn't helping. So whenever I sit here and work on the game I end up sweating like a pig and getting all drowsy from the heat, hence the lack of updates. Sorry about this.

Something more, I want to thank you all for the work you did on the Wiki. A special thanks goes out to Kezhael who went crazy and did a ton of stuff as he went through his last playthrough! Thank you!

Remember, you can all help out by editing and adding to the wiki! Kezhael has done an admirable job, and so has the others who added to the game, but the more who go through it the more will be there in the end. 1 play through will normally only give you one way of playing, and a lot of the stuff in the game has several outcomes :)

Not trying to pressure anyone here lol, but I'm currently unable to do much more myself.

Now, about the next release. As mentioned above, the current speed is not really all that impressive. Sorry about that, but I will be adding as much as I can.

While I may not write every day, it does not necessarily mean that I do nothing that day, as I normally want a certain amount of content to show before posting!

So, that's pretty much it. I hope you guys are still looking forward to the updates and are still enjoying the game! Your support is what's keeping the game alive!

Update log 26-07-14

I am sorry about the long wait that has occurred since the last log! I have made a few things here and there whenever I had the time, but it's not until now I actually had enough to post about. Sorry about that!

In any case, here is the current progress I'm making:

Content:

  • Added bathing and naked sprites for the divine. 
  • Added bathing system for the divine.
  • Added an interaction with Cial (Urd) in the bath of the castle.
  • Added the basic choices for the party organizing system.
So, I'll be trying to add a few more random encounters and then adding a basic form of the party system, though likely just the feast/grand ball one for now.

Update log 20-07-14

So, I had a few days where I did not know where to start.
There is a large backlog of things I must do in the current game, and that really sucks, as much of it, due to my inability to actually think back when I made some previous events, made some bad design choices meaning I have to put out the updates in a certain order for all the new content to work.

So, I decided on doing something which would cause little problems. That is to say, little problems with previous stuff, as I'm sure it'll be full of problems once it's released lol.

In any case, I decided to add stuff to the castle. As you all know the castle will have tons of stuff, and starting now will be pretty good.

I plan on adding a the random castle event system (Already made the actual system, just need to add more content) and I want to make the "hold a great dance/ball/wahtevz" function before releasing it.

Warning, long description of crap below. If you wish to see the log of what's been added so far, go to the end of this post.


The random system will work like this:
Whenever the player arrives at the castle things happen, and the castle will have various activities happen. Maybe something broke, maybe someone did something like, taking a bath, practicing, having a visitor etc. This will cause the character to be somewhere, where they normally wouldn't be. For example, if Gwyen chose to take a bath, she would no longer be in the throne room, but in the bath. Interacting with the npc will then give some different choices and outcomes, and after it is done the npc will go back to its duties.

I've been thinking real hard on this, as many would like to simply be able to find a specific npc in order to complete a quest or something like this, however, I took in to account that the divine rarely stays at home, and so the npc's will be doing their own stuff when they haven't seen the divine come home.

Hopefully this will add a bit of life to the castle, so everything isn't always "the same guard there, the same npc here, blablabla" but rather a bit dynamic with some random events spicing up the experience in the castle. I plan on adding A FUCKTON of these random events to hopefully make it pretty much impossible to exhaust the different things that may happen whenever the divine is gone.

And fear not, if you miss one it can happen again. I plan on making it so they happen in stages, so if they aren't activated I don't think I'll make them disappear.

The Host a party will work like this:
The divine will tell Gwyen that he wishes to host a party, and Gwyen will of course say OK. The divine will then be asked how much he wishes to invest in various areas, such as entertainment, food, drink etc. A lot of special entertainment will be very normal in this world, so be sure to ask Pellie in the church, once she has been activated in the next release, to tell you about the norms of these parties.

When the party is started it will last for several days. During this time the divine can only go a few places. I'm not sure where yet, but I expect to make it the bath, the visitor area's, and of course the grand hall. During this time the player can continue through time by asking for the next stage of the party to commence. Feast, Dance, sleep, etc. until the 3 days come to an end and the party finishes. During this time the player can speak with his guests and such, which can be good for several things.

The guests of the party will be high nobles, and they will be satisfied if the player spend a lot etc. The noble's who come will depend on several different factors as well as a good amount of randomness as everyone pretty much wants to be at the divines parties (obviously). Some nobles, or other people may only come once the divine knows them.
The divine can then socialize and start events with random guests.

Since the guests are random, I aim to make the parties somewhat dynamic, having new events happen every now and then, and by doing things with the "by chance" system, meaning that every now and then this noble or that noble participates, makes me able to make events based on the current guests and their previous encounters with the divines or other nobles and previous parties etc.

In any case, that's it for the plans, now for the stuff I've been doing...

Content:

  • Added Pellie (The woman talking about all kinds of stuff such as traditions and laws in the temple in the capital) to the player castle. She has also been given some info on hosting parties and will be given more later on so the player can read on what is normally expected when dealing with nobility.
  • Started adding the random event system to the castle. This will hopefully make the castle seem somewhat dynamic with people doing different things whenever the divine visits the castle, and parts of the castle being repaired every now and then, as well as setting up the important NPC's to be able to do other things than simply standing still all the time, instead taking baths, training outside and other things, which will also spawn events the player can take advantage of. Of course, naked ladies bathing is awesome, so look in the bath every time guys and girls!
    • Did 5 random castle events
      • 4 "Repair events"
      • 1 Bathing event
Fixes:
  • Fixed lag in Rei-Long Oak and hopefully all other maps by using an anti lag script. -Cheers!

Update log 17-07-14 Bug fixing

So I've been looking around and found some unresolved bugs you guys mentioned and I've not gotten to fix them all. I'm not sure I mentioned the three first in the last update or if I did the fixes after.

Fixes:

  • Fixed guard mentioning that Michelle is looking forward to seing the player when she's no longer there.
  • Fixed clipping issue in theservant quarters
  • Fixed summoned creatures not disappearing after fighting the bandits in Michelle's questline, in the slums.
  • Fixed foodstuffs and wine not working properly.
  • Fixed Fuar trader after starting to sell Orc meat.
  • Fixed Shilash when selling herbs and not giving money.
  • Fixed Shilash's "about yourself" speech.
That's pretty much it. My internet died for a few days, and I've been raging a lot xD But it's back up and things are good as far as I can tell. So this is why there has been no sound from me for a few days.

Patch 7.2.2a last fixes I think

So, it was a relatively bugless release so far. With that being said, I did manage to find quite a few with your help, though luckily only one was major, but thanks for the help!

In any case, a fix list

Fixes:
  • Fixed Michelle's questline statue receiving bug
  • Fixed Michelle's not correctly triggering the statue if not reading her mind.
  • Fixed a few typos (I know there's a lot in the game. While they aren't top priority, I want them gone)
  • Fixed events during the raid in the slums - Michelle's questline.
  • Fixed the guards outside the queens castle not walking correctly after receiving the castle.
  • Fixed the queens assistant talking like the queen was gone even after the queen came back.
  • Fixed Sophie's travel service thingy in Fuar if you hadn't upgraded the outside entrance yet.
  • Fixed exit from the cabin's outsides when Azmao had left.
  • Fixed some clipping issues in the divines office (private quarters, right side).
  • Fixed cutscene in third upgrade of the private quarters not working correctly in Michelle's questline.
Most of these fixes were minor, but it should all in all work better now.

Also, an important part here; Are you guys experiencing major lag in Rei-Long Oak? Whenever I playtest there I experience some crazy framedrops, but is that just me or should I be looking for a fix, as in it is something affecting you guys too?

Release AloneXP Ver. 7.2.2. out + Update log

So I made some stuff yesterday and today I decided to finally release the next release! But first, allow me to give you yesterdays and todays update log!

    • The new stuff adds a lot of lore as well.

Update log 06-07-14

So, a LOT of work has been done today!

I'm nearing the point where I feel confident in releasing the current build.
I'm still pondering if I should add some new features to the castle first though, but we'll see.

In any case, here's today's work!

Content:


  • Added swimming sprites. They will now be relatively easy to make in the future for new characters.
  • Added topless Watresses in Carrie's mansion
  • Added stuff to Carrie's mansion, including herself
  • Added 4 new parts to the main quest
  • Added new sprites
  • Added new fighter
Fixes

  • Fixed an instance of summoned creatures not dissapearing after a match



Today has been roughly 5 - 6 hours of work on the game, and a lot of new stuff has been added.

I did a lot of work on the swimming sprites, and I will in the future be able to add it to pretty much any sprite, so I will start actually using the big pools baths etc. In any case, thanks for staying tuned! Today was a lot of fun, but now I need to relax xD

Update log 05-07-14 _ 06-07-14

Right, before writing the actual content I'd like to say a little something.
While some of the content lists may seem small like "3 parts to XXXXX quest" there often is a reason;
While it is true that I sometimes do not actually do a lot, but other times it may be because the part is rather large, OR that the part has a lot of cutscenes and such.

About cutscenes, for every cutscene I make, it takes a long time to set everything up. Any cutscene you go through has likely been worked on for maybe a hundred times longer or more than you experience it.

I am not saying this because anyone has complained about it or anything, I just felt I wanted to say it since the content you will see today will seem as a small amount, but it is many hours of work in cutscenes and other work, such as making a new sprite (my first :P)

In any case, for the new stuff!

Content:

  • Added journal entries for the new Michelle content.
  • Added 4 new parts to Michelle's questline
  • Created a new sprite (My first ever self made :P Blowjob sprite, even though it "sucks") - Badum Tch!
  • Added Carries Mansion. (Empty so far, but will be made into a "party mansion" where Carrie can live her crazy life)

Fixes

  • Drastically nerfed farm income. Still tweaking.
  • Fixed a large amount of clipping errors for an upcomming villa
  • Fixed an instance of your summon staying with you

I got around to doing some more stuff today. Here's what:

  • Added a new section. Michelle is now "Friendable"
    • This will mean that the divine officially declares her a close friend. Prestigious indeed. Nothing made here to build upon this yet.

28-06-14

Truth be told I have not done anything on the game today, sorry about that.

I have, however, been writing a bit in the wikia.
I'd like to point out that I under no circumstances will add everything there. I'm probably close to done with what I'll be writing there, I've just put up some basic stuff and background stuff. What is still missing is quests and other things about the world and the cities.

I ask all of you guys to go there, if you have time, and start writing on this stuff! Create new pages if needed, add to existing pages if something is needed and make the wiki grow for the people who like playing with the wiki's in mind.

As mentioned no walkthrough's have been added yet, but I have added the cities and a section under each city called "quests" where the walkthrough's could be.

The article on Everlight is probably the best one to look at so far to get a feel of how I had thought it could be anyway.

In any case, feel free to go and add to the wiki! I'll probably add some more here and there, but in general I think I'm done for now!

Update fix and sort - 27-06-14 - And a wikia???

So, today I fixed some more stuff. Was really quite enjoyable.
Also added a new trader, but more on that later. Anyway!

Content:

  • Added description on food stuff to tell what it does
  • Added a trader to Rei-Long Oak who will buy "special stuff" from you.
    • In other words, whenever stuff is made for quests and somehow ends up in your inventory after, shell buy it from you. The lazy mans version of removing it from the game after the quest lol xD Nah, it's that some quests, back when I was starting this version of the quest were made poorly, and this is the best solution for this.
Fixes:

  • Don't know if I mentioned this before, so; I think I fixed the Rei-Long Oak whore herb quest thing that would pop up after leaving the area instead of when you were there.
  • Mayor's daughters is getting a "stupid bugfix" where I simply removed the move animation. It made no sense whatsoever that it was broken, no matter how I looked at it... It was fucking magic... Fuck that shit, never again, or I'm going to feed her to a fucking cavetroll...

I've also cleaned out the bug section. If anything was deleted without being fixed, make sure to write it there again.

Also, I added a wiki page! It is currently empty, but you guys should help build it up. I'll be adding stuff to it as I go, but I likely won't be getting around to write everything down I'm afraid. So help the community and start writing!

Update log 21-06-14 - Fixing time

So, I figured it was about time I started fixing this crap... So I've been going through various bug reports. I still have various things that needs doing, and the bug section has a lot of messages. I need to figure out what to do with most. Some bugs I will need a save since I can't recreate them, I mention this next to the bug if you happen to have this bug!

Fixes

A special thanks to moonblack for an extensive bug testing and even some suggestions on how to fix it.



  • Fixed issue where you could walk through some rocks in several places in the castle throne room.
  • Fixed the western exit to the garden, as it incorrectly showed grass.
  • Fixed clipping issues in the castle baths
  • Fixed clipping issues with the outdoor training area
  • Fixed tons of clutter (books, small things on tables, wine, cups, etc) appearing to be above you when you walked to it.
  • Fixed clipping through walls on the top floor of the castle
  • Fixed a specific type of pillar not functioning properly. (The one in the church room, walking through it and on top of it)
  • Fixed Great hall clipping issues
  • Fixed table in the servants quarters appearing to be below you.
  • You can no longer take Diatar with you in to the arena.
  • Hopefully fixed Illina not appearing in the fertility shrine questline.
  • Fixed bug where you could sell more bones than you had to dead eye in the first part of the quest.
  • Fixed there only being 6 pieces of illigal art, even though 9 pieces has already been implemented to the game.
  • Fixed an issue with capturing the slimes north of Everlight.




About some other things in the game

Just making it known that the "capture 5 orcs" quest in the meaty goodness quest line is not bugged.
Do not try to re-enter the area. 5 set orcs are capturable, it is not something all orcs there can be, so instead, if you
are having problems with it, clear out the area and see if you can find an orc somewhere. It is there, likely trying
to get you and in between some trees lol.

There appear to still be some issues with one of Everlight Village's mayor's daughters. Will need to investigate.
If you happen to have a save game before this issue, do send it to me so I can maybe find a fix.

Been busy and spent a good amount of time on fixing today. As mention at the start I still have more fixing to do by going through the bug section. I'm really slow with checking it and I find really old reports that I have yet to do anything about and for that I am sorry.

Status report

So, as most of you guys might have noticed, the end of my exams, to my surprise, did not mean I had a shit ton of work done on the game.

I'm sorry to say this, but for some reason I can't really drag myself out of the "FREEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM" kind of mood I have at the moment. The end of the castle, my exams and all sorts of other crap has left me with the first free time I've had in months. I'm digging it xD So in any case, the reason why I haven't done much is because, human nature... So, in any case, I shall work on the game as much as I can, but I'm probably going to do a limited amount of work as the newfound freedom I have for the moment is making me so hapzors xD

Update log 13-06-14

So, I only managed to do a bit of bug smashing and adding some journal sections today.

Anyway, here's today's done stuff :P

Content:

  • Added journal entries for Michelle's new quest stuff
  • Added a new sprite to the game. Inanimate as it may be :P *Hint* *Hint*
Fixes
  • Fixed the dark shard mine internal entrance which was not working properly.
Notes on the upcoming stuff.
Basically I'm currently adding Michelle's new stuff to the game and I will be working on this for the time being. Then, after that, I will be fixing the last remaining bugs that have been reported. Once finished with that I have 2 new characters in mind as well as the "wive's" quest and the rich and normal quarters of the capital. Hopefully I'll get around to make it all in to the next update. I can not give an exact day as it is a somewhat large update. In no way is it as large as the castle, but it is still fairly large for a content update.
Of course I will be adding castle functions alongside with stuff, but for now they are being made as a side thing as they aren't as important as a lot of other stuff.

That's all for today. I get the feeling that I'll be able to do much more tomorrow, but we'll have to wait and see ;)

update log 29-05-14

So, I had a a bit of free time today and did some stuff to the game.
I'm still in the middle of the exam period, so It's not going to be a lot of work for some time, as you have already seen, but every now and then, much like today I will be able to spend a bit of time on the game.

Anyway, here's what I did:


  • Re-did michelle's last conversation add a "minimum guest room level" requirement.
  • Added a new part to Michelle's questline.
An important note.
I will be implementing a system which will see if anyone is present in the guestroom. 
Only 1 person can be there at the time, so make sure you don't, once the others are made, press several at the time. 

Say you activate Michelle to go to the castle, do not activate the others. Right now nothing would happen, but in the future when the others are added it'll fuck stuff up. I will of course fix this as I go over each of these questlines, but so far there is not much I can do.

Not many problems should appear now, though if you start activating all of them when they have been made you will cause tons of people to appear in the guest room at the same time. Which will seem weird and may break certain actions.

In any case, so far nothing will happen, so don't panic lol.
Once I've made some more content I will release a new chunk of Michelle content. 
Though i can already promise it'll be slow going lol.

Quick update - I know I've been quiet :P

So, just dropping by to show you guys I'm still alive!
Exams are starting from now and will end at the end of next month.

I've done very little.

I added a a new option to Gwyen called "make a demand" which will allow you to demand something from the people, but so far there's nothing made in it, so all it is, is an option saying that.

I've been doing my best to think of a few new things to add to the game, but truth be told I have yet to add anything to the game!

It really warms my perverted heart to see so many people still come to check the blog everyday, even though nothing has been posted for so long! Thank you all, you guys are great!

In any case, that's it for now! I will still try to find some holes in my exam reading where I can spend some time making new stuff for the game. Hope you can wait, as I don't know how much this will amount to.
I hope I can make it up to you at a later time!

About the foreseeable future

So, exam season is coming up, and I'm guessing a lot of you are going to be busy.
So will I.

I might have overstated my intentions, and will need to make a few plans to make things flow naturally.

Over the next few weeks I will be unable to work a whole lot on the game, as I will start to read up on my different subjects to prepare for my exams. I will still try to get some work done, but I can't really promise too much I'm afraid.

This means that the rest of this month and a lot of next month is going to be lived in the name of exams.
When the exams are done I can start working like I planned on working after the last great release.

Until then I will likely make a few smaller updates adding some new content to the game, and start working on some new planned areas as well, though it will be pure filling and not any quest related content yet.

Most quest stuff though, as I want to add more playability to the game :P

A huge thanks to all who helped us make this happen! We've been working away at bugs and developing content, and the way you guys received it made it all worth it! I'm really happy to have been able to release this game.

Patch - AloneXP Ver. 7.2.1 out

I'd like to start out with a quick apology for not writing anything for so long, but I haven't been able to sit down and start fixing until today, sorry :P

So, anyway, I made a huge bugfix edition of the game.
If I forgot any bugs, or if any remain please post them here so I can fix the last few bugs.
Hopefully this will turn in to the official release if you guys can't find anything broken :)

  • Phallia Ending in inn staying in black screen.
  • Fixed tileset and other clipping issues for throne room 1
  • Fixed tileset and other clipping issues for throne room 2
  • Fixed tileset and other clipping issues for throne room 3
  • Fixed tileset and other clipping issues for throne room 4
  • Fixed the smuggler packages
  • Fixed the hide and seek quest, where saving the girl wouldn't work properly
  • Fixed clipping errors in the eastern second eastern path near Fuar
  • Fixed the bounty board in Rei-Long Oak. You can no longer start sciencey stuff several times
  • Nerfed the farm income
  • Fixed Clair who would, if the player decided to not knock her up, still comment as if she was pregnant with his child.
  • Fixed the conversation Clair and Shaira had if the player didn't have sex with her
  • Fixed the queens conversation if the player didn't have sex with her
  • Fixed Lady Dire. She would cause an infinite loop
  • Fixed Lady Dire. Her issue was the same as the previous bone quest, and instead affected your Evil. If you want to change your allignment, go to her with either many bones or teddies (many = much evil) or none/few (sets evil to low/the amount you have). Do this before implementing the new patch
  • Fixed a bug where you could start the Fertility Shrine questline at the mayor which would fuck everything up
  • Fixed Transport at the Castle. You can now go to other places than Fuar
  • Tried fixing Lisa, the mayor of Everlight's daughter freezing the game

Break info

So, I've decided to have a break until at least Wednesday.
I'm exhausted (might be a strong word, but mentally, I am) from the last creation spurt as well as the fixing we did.
Thus, I shall take some time off to get back on track with studying! I will post a new post here once I start working again and then I will start working on fixing all the stuff we know of now. It will be a large fix containing a lot of minor fixes. Once I'm done with that I will aim for a release a week for a long time, containing at least 1 questline at the time.
This is something I normally do after the large releases, as I have a lot more maps to work with, allowing me to implement the stuff that can be made at that point.

I have been overwhelmed by the amount of people who came to help us out. Thousands of people have been to the blog everyday, and it has been amazing to see just how much the popularity of the game has grown since the last large update! Thanks for all your support! You guys are amazing!

Quick message on the game

THE GAME IS STILL IN THE BUG TESTING PHASE, IF YOU WANT THE FULL, BUG FREE VERSION, WAIT UNTIL WE ANNOUNCE THE NEXT OFFICIAL RELEASE

So, the bug reports are starting to come in less frequently, and it would seem all game breakers have been fixed for now.
For the next couple of days I will be fixing the minor stuff that has been plaguing the game, such as clipping through walls, people not disappearing when they are supposed to etc. Once I have managed to fix all of this I will release an official version of the game again and take the game out of the bug testing phase.

I will keep an eye on the bug reports and will try to fix everything we know about in the next version.
I don't know when it will be out, but I'm likely taking the weekend off, unless a gamebreaker appears again.

So, thanks for all the work you guys have done! I couldn't have fixed the game without your help :)
Though I still have lots to do xD

If you have any problems with anything that should have already been fixed, please write it down below!
If I get no more problems after this 7.2.0b patch I will release the game as out of the bug testing phase. Please report any errors in this post!

Fixed:

  • Black screen not stopping after dinner fixed.
    • The priest at the second questpoint is bugged and may not appear in the animation, but it still works and won't break the game. Will be fixed later.
I went through everything and made sure to try as many combinations as possible. There should be no issues with the mayors quest from here on.

Fixed:
  • Fixed the bug where the Mayor wouldn't talk to the player after the dinner. (Fucking mayor, any more trouble out of you and I'm editing your story and making you die a horrible death...-.-)
    • To fix this problem, load a save from before the dinner and download the latest version of the game - As of this message that is "AloneXP 7.2.0a"
  • Fixed teleportation. If it doesn't work for you, just walk around through a few maps. I have placed an "un-unable to teleport" event in all major areas to prevent anything like this to happen again.

  • Fixed the mayor bug once and for all. I went through everything and found all the fucking bugs... I completed the questline needed in several different ways and it can NOT BE FUCKED UP ANYMORE! DON'T! I'LL FUCKING CRY!
  • Added attack animations to darkshine mine creatures.
  • Fixed the actual dinner repeating at the mayors house.

  • Hopefully fixed the mayors house bug. I changed the switch that activates it to a more reliable one.
  • Fixed so you can't purchase the maid upgrade several times. (All but the first were useless)

  • Fixed the caravan, where going anywhere would be hindered by the Fuar option.
  • Fixed error where upgrading the great hall would send you to the entrance rather that the next tier of the great hall.
  • Added a message when trying to go upstairs from the church saying, if you have not upgraded the rectory upstairs, "There is no way up" to prevent any confusion.
  • (NOTE) Tried another solution in trying to fix the error mentioned in 7.1.4
  • Fixed throne room. It no longer rains inside when it has rained in the garden.

  • Fixed Clair in the Fuar inn going into an eternal loop when not impregnating her.
IMPORTANT: Some of you are getting this error. I might have fixed it, but there is also a chance it is still there. I have absolutely no idea what the hell it is, and I've researched it, but found no clue on what it could be in "Alone"... If it's fixed in this version, CHEERS! If not I'll cry myself to sleep...

A temporary fix is; Save before the map where it happens and try again. It seems to only happen "sometimes" making it even more weird... But hopefully this helps until I can pinpoint a fix, if not fixed already...

  • Fixed black screen in hide and seek

  • Castle baths no longer upgrades first floor instead. (Do not use misuse before upgrading it, it can fuck up and leave you unable to even enter the first floor)

So, I went all out after having posted my post yesterday, and completely finished up the main quest and added tons of guards that are based on your summoning to the castle. This means that today I could add maids and then go through the mainquest to fix any bugs I found.

So the game is out for bug testing!

I have to stress that this is an early build that serves only one purpose, to identify bugs so I can fix them
If you want a full version, wait until the bugs have been squashed. If you want to help out, however, then feel free to download this version and tell me if you find any bugs!

Once the release is "bug free" I will officially release it and then add it to the downloads section.

Also, a quick list of stuff I added since yesterday's post.

  • Finished the main quest (3 parts)
  • Added new guards to the castle.
  • Made Maids hire-able from the Chief Servant
  • Fixed all errors I could find while going through the main quest.
What I would like you guys to focus on when looking for bugs:
  • Clipping through walls. This may be a big problem as there is so much new area in the castle.
  • Quest bugs; Somthing that hinders you. Try out the main quest and the newly added sidequests (Check your journal to see just how much has been added)
  • Contradictions. If I made anything that made you go "But, isn't that what they just say shouldn't be said?" or something. If you find it, tell me here. 

Any bug report you have from the game in this bug testing phase is to be posted in the latest blog post or on one of the forums, not in the bug section.

Update log 28-04-14 - 29-04-14

So, no update log yesterday?

I did some work yesterday, but not enough to justify an update. However! BADAM :D Today I made a huge amount of work, so I will write for today and yesterday :D

Content:

  • 7 new parts to the main quest
  • Added several new sprites to the game
  • Added a badass animated scene :P Can't wait for you guys to see it xD
  • Added a new map (Mugginns got a surprise map demand there :P)
  • Added some options to the Cheif Servant, though they have yet to be fully made
That's it for now, a huge amount of stuff has been made. Tomorrow I will likely finish the last part of the main quest which will be available in the next release. 
Then I will be adding some of the new functions to the castle, as well as add ambiance.

If I finish this fairly quickly, like tomorrow, I will add some finishing touches here and there, and probably add a few side quests, and then I will FINALLY be able to add a trial version for you guys to try. It will probably be full of bugs at first, so only try that version if you don't mind bug testing :P

Just keeping you guys up to date with the progress I made today before going to bed.

  • Added 12 new erotic pictures
  • Added 3 new parts to the main quest
  • added the players "Chief Servant" where the player will give orders to other servants and buy new ones.
    • Needs more work, adding the purchasable servants to the game, but the groundwork has been made now.

Thanks for staying with us! The new release is getting close, and I have reached a point with the stuff I have, thanks to Mugginns and Naki I might add, where I can now focus on quests and real content for you guys.

update log 26-04-14

And the fucking farm income is now not fucked anymore xD Yay! :D
At least I think it's working. Time will tell, I'll need some testing with this next build as there's so much new stuff that could or could not work.

In any case!

Of course there will be many more types of clothes for the divine, I just need to find fighters and create sprites for them in order to use them. :)

That's pretty much it for today. The income thing was a HUGE fix, but I've made it so it should be easy to add any incomes in the future.

update log 25-04-14

So, work today has been very efficient. Completely plowed through the castle and finally added all the bloody upgrade points.
Now all I need is the small stuff. I already added chefs to the kitchen, and I will need to do similar things here and there. Then I will need a few minor quests introducing the new ways of hiring people to the castle so you can hire maids, new guards and so on.

Most importantly, the guards, as they are very special in the way you hire them, and you will be hiring people you "know" so to speak. Look forward to it! :D

Content:

  • Added the last rooms to the upgrade system.
  • Added an outdoor part to the bath 
  • Added an outdoor part to the guard area
  • Added an "entrance" to the garden area
  • Added kitchen personnel
Basically, I am very close to getting to the point where I can start focusing on the quest stuff instead of all the stuff that "is" the castle. I will likely leave out a lot when it comes to the castle though, at first, as mentioned earlier. Nothing that would break the game, but things that I would rather add runningly instead of adding all at once. Simply to add more content, rather than adding a shit ton of stuff you can do with the castle, as you wouldn't be able to afford it, and adding it would only provide "empty" stuff to do. So I'll focus on adding some real content, such as quests and other things which will require you to do something fun as the player, rather than stuff which is meant to support the game as side content, not the only content.

Anyway, that's it for today I think, unless I decide to add the wardrobe later on as I have some plans I really can't wait to implement there.

23-04-14 Update log

So I've been working today. Adding the upgrade points for the player to interact with is a pain in the butt.

It is fast to do, no problem, but it fucking drains the braincells of all my will to live lol.
It's boring as fuck, and hard to come up with the descriptions they give of the area, without making them sound like wandering encyclopedias...

In any case. Today's stuff, and the stuff currently done with the upgrade system.

I so wanna get the next part of the main quest out, as it has been so fucking secret and crap ever since I started making the bloody game... xD

I'll Have Another Consonant Please Bob

This is just a short not to say I finished all the maps assigned to me by Overlord Crouler and that I handed them over to him yesterday.That said,he wont be needing any maps from me for a good while,leaving me with some free time.
And so to pass the time I'm starting a small translation project on a game(Parallel Fantasy IF[in case anyone cared to know]) Sadly I don't know any japanese but i reckon 7 translators ought to  help a bit.

If anyone knows or a accurate and reliable translator please let me know(leave a comment below).Some of the stuff that get churned out by the ones I have boggle the fucking mind.

Progress log 22-04-14

Hello everyone! Sorry for not having made any posts.
I have been working a bit on the game, but it's not until today I've had enough to justify an update log.

I have not been able to even 1/10th of what I wanted to do in this amount of time I'm afraid.
Things did get in the way (referring to last post statement lol), and it's only been a few minutes a day I've been able to work on the game.

Today I finished my business as early as I could so I could do something worth mentioning here on the blog.

Content:

  • Added Ambiance to several locations in the castle.
  • Added the ability to upgrade the Servants Quarters.
The amount of time I've put into this is very limited, and with the speed I have been able to make this part I am optimistic on how fast I can do the other parts, if I am not constantly hindered from doing so lol.


In any case, thanks for sticking with the game! I'm really sorry that I haven't posted as quick as I promised.
I'll do my best to finish up the castle upgrade system as quickly as possible, as it will make my job with the rest less stressful. I'm the type of person who, if I use something (like a room in the castle) I want everything in there to be done before adding the quest. This is why I want to finish up the upgrade ability of all rooms so that I won't stop to do it whenever I reach a room.

In any case, sorry for the late post, and thank you for continuing to support the game! You guys rock :-D

Update log 18-04-14 The gardens are made

So, today I finished the gardens and the questline that lead to unlocking the upgrade options, so for now they are finished, though I suspect Naki will want to add more options later. Bigger and better! ;D

Content:

  • 3 new parts to the main quest
  • Connected gardens to the upgrade system
  • Made the upgrade system available to the player
I will need to do the last part (making it system available to the player) with every room. This will take a while, as each upgrade will need a small description of what will be unlocked and such. The gardens where however a bigger job than the normal rooms, as the gardens were free to chose from, where the rooms will be linear, not needing me to make a set of options to upgrade from, rather upgrading to make better, and not to change style.

My guess is that most of the rooms will have their upgrade system available to the player tomorrow, if I don't slack too much, or if nothing else comes up.
This also means that after that, the castle is essentially finished with the upgrade part. After this, however, all the effects of doing so will be added, and they will take longer than the actual system I made. Making randomized court openings, depending on the players prestige and making grand balls is going to take forever, however I will likely release the upgrade before adding some of these things as they are really hard to make. I'd rather give a nice piece of questline and the castle, as well as the simple things and a few less simple things than dragging the update out forever. 

The castle is likely to be added to throughout the entire game, and a lot of things won't be necessary yet, or maybe some things won't even be accessible yet, and adding these would be silly as they would give nothing to you guys before I proceed the game anyway.

Things I do plan on adding in the next release are:
  • Taxes/tithes (I will fix the farm's income while doing this too)
  • Clothes for the divine
  • Room upgrades
  • Some room specific bonuses and addons like the:
    • Museum (A place to see pictures and other things you can put on the walls and ground, as well as trophies for "achievements" in the game)
    • Treasury (A place to add unique items to look good for you who can't sell uniques, like me :P, as well as a way to see how much cash you have since everyone wants to see your pile of gold grow)
    • A library, which will be your new way of storing porn instead of the porn book.
I might have missed a few, but as you can see a lot of the features planned likely won't make the next update, like grand balls, court meetings, and all the other stuff I've teased throughout time lol.

update log 17-04-14

Hello everyone, I shall answer a quick question before beginning. I will not be able to give a full content sum up when I release the next update, as I have no idea xD It's been under development for so long that I no longer remember what I made when. Sorry.

Anyway, for today, I did a lot of stuff, so here's a list of stuff made today.

Content:

  • 3 new parts to the main quest
  • First court meeting
  • added a new room in the castle and integrated it into the upgrade system.
The court meetings will take a lot of time to make. Each one of them require a lot of scripting to make the people in the court do what they need to do. It may seem somewhat simple when it happens, but between the talking and the moving, there's a lot of time spent on making the stuff happen.

In any case, that's it for today! We are really close by now, and I'm really looking forward to sharing this with everyone! The last update hasn't been out for god knows how long! But the size should show why once you see it! ;D

Update log 15-04-14

So, just a quick message, as there isn't much to say today. I sat around for something like 2 hours pondering how to best make the fucking income system for the castle, as it would be totally OP to simply do it like the farm. And I also tested out a few ways I could implement a new system, but in the end it seems I'll have to follow a similar system to the farm, only it is somewhat more limited. I might also change the farm income though.

As a lot of you know, the farm income only works at the farm, and the next release will likely fix this, as well as adding the castle's income. It will also make it a lot easier to edit in the future.

In any case!

Content:

  • Added 1 new part to the main quest.
  • Edited some of the stuff I wrote yesterday to accommodate the income system I had in mind.

Major progress - Update log 14-04-14

The castle has finally been put together completely. The upgrade system is 99% done, and the rest will come automatically as I add the ambiance of the castle. Only thing needed on the upgrade system is the upgrade stations now, where you can tell the workers to upgrade a room.

I have also continued the main quest quite a bit today. My intention is to ease the player in to using the castle with the main quest, showing the options and how to use them, and once the player gets the way it works, the player is free to explore the remaining options for him/her-self.

I also overhauled the transport system at Sophie. The Caravan was really weird in the setup coding wise (if you can call RPG-Maker coding, lol) and I have changed it making it much easier to edit for future cities and hopefully changing it for the better.

In any case, Content time!

  • 5 New parts to the main quest
  • Added several new chests, (make sure to check the castle before upgrading ;-))
  • Added Sophie to the Castle so you can travel from the castle.
  • Edited all the "Sophie's" and added the new system, allowing for travel all over the world, including the castle.
  • Added Various Guards throughout the castle. Queens gift guards.
  • Added new sprites for the workers and London, the one in charge of rebuilding your castle.
  • Edited various NPC's to not appear both at the castle and their original home.
As you can see, there's a lot of stuff happening, so when the actual update is released there is bound to be a ton of bugs, and I'm going to have to count on your help, as the scope of the new stuff is so great that we couldn't possibly hope to test it all alone.
