I have also continued the main quest quite a bit today. My intention is to ease the player in to using the castle with the main quest, showing the options and how to use them, and once the player gets the way it works, the player is free to explore the remaining options for him/her-self.
I also overhauled the transport system at Sophie. The Caravan was really weird in the setup coding wise (if you can call RPG-Maker coding, lol) and I have changed it making it much easier to edit for future cities and hopefully changing it for the better.

- 5 New parts to the main quest
- Added several new chests, (make sure to check the castle before upgrading ;-))
- Added Sophie to the Castle so you can travel from the castle.
- Edited all the "Sophie's" and added the new system, allowing for travel all over the world, including the castle.
- Added Various Guards throughout the castle. Queens gift guards.
- Added new sprites for the workers and London, the one in charge of rebuilding your castle.
- Edited various NPC's to not appear both at the castle and their original home.
As you can see, there's a lot of stuff happening, so when the actual update is released there is bound to be a ton of bugs, and I'm going to have to count on your help, as the scope of the new stuff is so great that we couldn't possibly hope to test it all alone.

ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the next upcoming patches and thank you for your work/game i really enjoyed it (great way to lean back and chill from college). However there is something i have to ask, normally i would wait for a few patches and then download the new version however i dont know if you need more peole to watch out for bugs or not so would you rather like it if i play the new version immediately or wait a bit?

There we go. I will try to comment more often now (must feel a bit underappreciated if you have a lot of downloads with only a few comments; probably one of the reasons so many quit their games halfway through).
ReplyDeleteCatgirl Hunter X hunter - Only thing you should do is to copy your old savegames in to the new game folder once it comes out. That's pretty much it. :)
ReplyDeleteEpholos: I'm glad you enjoy the game! Generally, we like to add a lot of content with the updates, so sure you could wait, but each update should add enough new stuff to hopefully make you want to go in. About bug testers, we do have a lot of people who try the game, testing for bugs, though more is always welcome and it helps out on finding them more quickly.
Also, we have few people actually writing on the blog, but the amount of unique hits on the blog a day blows me away. I won't mention numbers, at least not yet, but it is a lot, and I would keep working on the game just to see the people who come out of lurking when a new update arrives. Also, I guess the few posts are part of the smut business, as people want to remain as anonymous as possible :P But then again, the more the merrier! So feel free to write on the blog as much as you want! :D
humm mine was alrady old and wanted a new game scruewed around whit my old saves :D btw any change on a fullscrheen mode for teh game i migta missed?

ReplyDelete@Catgirl hunter x hunter - There is no fullscreen implemented, and unfortunately I suspect there never will. And about running, I'm still considering this, as it would change a lot of things in the game, as well as some other things I need to consider on the game mechanics and events.
