AloneXP Demo Ver. 7.0.6 Beta Test 2 - Fixed some errors in the game. Description below.

We had a few errors that needed fixing.

Fixes:

  • Fixed a long standing bug where Lisa (Mayors daughter, Everlight) would go to the bath, but the maid wouldn't notify you, thus preventing later stages from happening. If other bugs persevere, report them in the "Report bugs" section of the blog.
  • Error in the questlog wrongly saying the ship to the beach, in the Meaty Goodness questline would be going West. It is of course East, as all other dialogues would say.
  • Fixed, when meeting the accountant in the Capital, asking for an explanation of "bonus" would cut past the choices.
  • Fixed later in the accountant scene where at the end it would say you invested in the lowest budget for advertisement even though you chose the highest one.

If you can live with these bugs you do not have to download the next Beta. If you can't download it below.

  2. New stuff (I'll really be anal about those. More than usual I mean :P) :

    - In the army- After Michelle is wounded, the sergeant (was the her rank?) sends us to the docks to read minds. Found the cuplrit, read her mind but she's not thinking about the boss so the Divine says : " I need... * " the * is actually in the text but the conversations stops after that and if you talk to the girl again, it starts from scratch. After that you send someone and it seems to work properly but the smuggler (?) keeps saying the same now irrelevant message.

    - When you find out where Carrie is, you walk up to her and some parts were cut off (Missing). I'll just put [...] to indicate there is more text that's good. I don't feel like typing everything if it's ok. We encounter those missing words through the whole game game but it's usually just a couple of letters. Those seem to be a bit longer.

    Nameless : "Give up... You don't seem like the type tha (Missing) some deep reason to work for these people. [...]

    Nameless : I see. So, how about helping us, and I mak(Missing) profitable to you?

    - The underling just disappears after once step east when Carrie tell her to leave.

    - After the fight with Carrie, she says "Go tell that woman" but we never mentionned any, just said we'd make it profitable to her. It also seems a bit odd that she expects you to hold a deal after she attacked us, was there supposed to be a choice somewhere?

    - While talking to Sicila :

    Nameless : "Right, Anyway, hey (hey? her!) name is Carrie, I susp(Missing) she'll be coming [...]

    - After entering the C.U.N.T. headquarters, the soldier says the meeting is in the north-easternmost room. The room is to the north-west

    - Meeting with the Senior Captains (All of them are designated the same, could you give them names or maybe just a number?) :

    Nameless : I suspect we can use her to track down a f(Missing) steps. [...] but I know that she will help us to the exte(Missing) her ability.

    [...]

    Senior Captain : She will likely have set meatings [...] (Haha, you said meat! Nevermind...)

    Nameless : Right. We need to use our current intel to (Missing) advantage. [...]

      - End of the meeting with the Senior Captains :

      Nameless : We'll use the trap. if we don't Carrie's life (Missing) danger [...]

      - Back in the Barracks, talking with Sicila :

      Nameless : Our hope is they want to make it such a la(Missing) haul that they [...] as well as some of your supeiors. After th(Missing and superiors is missing an "r") we will pull [...] we hope to succeed in uncovering a large (Missing) of their commanding group.

      Sicila : By the way, Nameless, Michelle is getting bette(Missing) You should try [...]

      - Talking to Michelle :

      Michelle : Oh, Nameless... You're here... I'm tired, but i(Missing) would seem [...]

      Nameless : [...] But untill then I'll make (Missing) we take [...]

      Nameless : [...] I wouldn't have it any other wa(Missing)

      Nameless : I will. Get well and show them what you ca(Missing) do.

      - Back to Sicila :

      Nameless : Thank you. I'm happy to help. I never exp(Missing) this! [...]

      - Sicila asks you to check on someone by reading her mind, you accept and then she says to come back after you know but fails to mention who she is. you have to look in the journal to know where to find her.

      - While checking in the treasury for the woman :

      Nameless : You two, I need you to take this woman int(Missing) custody [...]

      - If you leave the treasury and come back, Deily is back next to the soldier and the woman is still just chillin' in the treasury, saying she won't run.

      - After Michelle leaves and we wait a bit, while talking to Sicila :

      Nameless : I'll go talk to her. Do you know where she i(Missing)

      - When going to the docks and talking to Carrie, she says she'll sneak into the castle then the screen blackens as if she was supposed to disappear but she's still there. Talking to her triggers the same conversation over and over.

      - Back at the barracks, talking to Sicila :

      Nameless : That's great. A lot of things could have go(Missing) wrong here. [...]

      --- Stopped after Sicila tells me to meet Michelle in Everlight ---

      - Barracks, talking to Sicila :

      Nameless : We will have you snoop around. Your mai(Missing) mission will be [...]

      - While looking at the puddle of blood on the docks ground :

      Nameless : *Shit, that matches Carrie's description! I n(Missing) to find her!*

      - The blood blocks movement so the second puddle in the stairs might be misplaced or maybe change the collision? Same problem with the blood in the slaughterhouse by the way.

      - Talking to the blond woman (elf?) next to the crate in the slums :

      [...] what happenned here? Where's Carr(Missing)

      - After you beat her, she's still there and you can fight her again right away. (Yay! New weapon!)

      - When checking the crate in the slums, the blood on it expands.

      - After teleporting Carrie to the barracks, the blond woman disappears. It is possible to skip the fight altogether this way.

      Nameless : Shit! Hang on carrie! I'll make sure you ge(Missing) some help! [...]

      - Back in the Barracks, talking to Sicila :

      Sicila : Nameless! Thank fate you are here! We got C(Missing) I assume you [...]

      Nameless : I managed to save her. They were about t(Missing) her when [...]

      - Sicila says Michelle wants to talk to us in the Everlight barracks but she's still standing right next to her :P

      - Carrie can't be interacted with (not sure if supposed to)

      --- Stopped after Sicila tells me to meet Michelle in Everlight ---

      - The missing part of the conversation with Sicila (in the "Set up trap" choice) appeared here. I didn't pay attention for the "Snoop info - low amount" though. Also appears in "Snoop info - large amount"

      - The rest is the exact same as for the "Snoop info - low amount" so I assume the 2 previous mentions are too.

      --- Stopped after Sicila tells me to meet Michelle in Everlight ---

      - End of the conversation with the Senior Captains :

      Nameless : We'll fund the operation with a large amou(Missing) money.

      - Barracks, talking to Sicila :

      Nameless : We will provide you with a large funding. (Missing) some minor stuff [...] request meetings with your superiors. Per(Missing) even get [...]

      - Meeting Carrie at the docks :

      Carrie : Ah, Nameless. i was this fucking close to bein(Missing) sold off [...]

      - Same bug as the trap, Carrie says she'll sneak in the castle, the screen fades and she's still there. Talking to her again yields the same result.

      - Barracks, talking to Sicila :

      Nameless : That's great. A lot of things could have go(Missing) wrong here. [...]

      -----------------From now on, I'm fairly sure that the options don't really matter so I loaded the game where I picked "Set-up trap". Let me know if if does change something, I'll be keeping the 4 different savegames.

      - Back in Everlight, talking to Michelle :

      Nameless : I dare not think of what could have happen(Missing) I'm just glad [...]

      Nameless : Please, if you're a friend of Michelle there(Missing and I think there's a " 's" missing after Michelle) need for [...]

      I have to leave until sunday evening. I should finish the job once I get back.

      oh and is there a more efficient way to do this? I feel like I'm spamming the blog...

  3. Found a bug in the new cave: The Cimex Elite will stay at the bridge after the fight and you can fight it again and again. Couldn't find the queen after that event...

    Bug fixed with the girl you read the mind of.

    About the words missing letters, it is because of the player name. I'll need to find a fix for this, and it'll likely be to reduce the player name length I'm afraid.

    Carrie's underling dissappearing, fixed.

    Carrie is supposed to be easy to sway. Since she has dreams, which will be expanded upon.

    Fixed the guard saying "north eastern" instead of "north western"

    The senior captains; I might make them named to make things less confusing.

    It does mention that she is downstairs I think? At least, that's what the game files tell me? xD

    Fixed the woman not disappearing.

    Carrie now disappears after you speak to her at the docks.

    Fixed blood. You can now go through it.

    Abductor now dies after being killed.

    Blood no longer expands.

    Fixed how you could go straight to the crate.

    Thanks so much for the bug report! I've managed to get a lot of work done! How you are doing it now is OK, you can keep "spamming" the blog lol.

    About the 4 endings, there is a difference between each one. If you truly fuck up, she dies too. In any case, depending on how you want it, you might wanna save all the save games.

    Perfect "Sudden Clarity Clarence" moment here. Makes sense since it's always on the first line, expect for maybe 2-3 times in the whole game.

    Glad to be of help, for the future posts though, I'll be improving the way I post it a bit. Each point will be numbered and each post will be a new one so I don't have like 4 posts in a row and then your answer to all of them. It's a pain to go through.

  6. Started a new game with the beta 4. An hour and a half in, my computer crashed, deleting all the notes I took during that time and to put a bit on top of it, I JUST realized that you can just copy the saved games from the previous version in the folder of the newest one so I didn't have to start all over again. Four times.

    Kinda mad right now.

    For this playthrough I'll still have to start over but I reaaaaally don't feel like it right now so I'll do that tomorrow.

    Also, for clarity's sake, I'll use images to show what I mean for a couple of things like the casino waitress or desert tiles. Is there a command I can add to the text for a direct link, spoilers or images? kinda like in forums I mean.
