release: Alone 7.4.6.0y


Fixed:
-Fixed game's intro. It should now work once more.
Content:
-Added a new skill at level 2. A very strong magical skill that debuffs an enemy.
-Added a new skill at level 10. A very strong physical attack that also hurts the user.
These two attacks may be much too strong and are going to be subject to change if they are.
-Added the new start for the game.
-Added difficulty options for new players to help eliminate grind for those who dislike it.
To do:
-I believe there are quite a few issues with the world-map events. Can anyone say if it is all of them?

New release is out. It has, again, been ready for quite a while. I keep finding myself without time to do these updates and it really sucks since the content is ready long before I actually get to upload it, sorry!

Anyway, this week has a bit of love to the start of the game as well. New skills have been added making the player stronger in general, with them being very powerful. I have also implemented a sort of "Difficulty" system. When starting, the player may choose between a series of options that make the game unchanged or add stuff to the start of the player's game, such as items and the like, making grind necessary to anyone starting out the game.

Please let me know if there is anything that does not seem to work gamewise with the new beginning and the new difficulties!

  1. If you really wanna do actually fun combat, then i would suggest taking a look at a game called "Sim Brothel: Revised" done in the same vx rpg maker engine. In it you level the abilities of the character (both character stats and skills) by demolishing mobs. Fx taking damage will give exp toward constitution, evading gives exp toward agility, inflicting melee damage on an wnemy will give you str exp, and so on. Fairly decent combat for this engine. However likely will require coding skills, and time.

  2. after talking with Kagi, at the pier, and visiting the house on the hill the map are dividid into two pieces. One with the new players city and one lower part with the pier. I can not enter the pier from the city. In the new city i can interact with the caracters, but if i enter ahouse i am stucked inside and have to restart the game. If i leve the city (road to the castle) the city disapperes and are not there when i reenter the area.

      It is that you cannot walk onto the pier?

Stucked inside the house on the hill, just right of the pierhouse.(where you get a warningtext, do not save inside the house) When I have seen the content inside the house (mostly black with a few images) and it is time to leave the house I have to use the bugfixer to get rid of the black screen. After that, outside the house, the new players city occures. trying to walk back to the pier the map are divided into two ( not possible to reenter the pier) I can use the upper half of the map, interact with people, but if I enter a house I can not leave it (goes for all houses that are new) the bugfixer do not work. Leeving the map to the left (returne to castle) is possible. If I reenter the player city the new buildings are goone.

  3. Sounds like the game is loading the wrong map, a pretty common issue with older rpg maker engines. And that house with a warning message inside been buggy forever. I thought it was long ago fixed lol.

  4. Are you aware of the fact that investing into the Hospital doesn't actually cost you any money?

    And when you become the Co-owner of the hospital the map in front of the hospital freezes the game because of an autorun event.

    Also, there are those soldiers on the pier on the capital island that send you to hunt bandits together with Michelle and they are always there and I have no idea what kind of event chain they belong to.

    Also, on the Divine's island there is that Delangue's Treasure Chest you can always interact with even when you aren't supposed to find them yet. Considering how opening the chest gets you the message that Delangue has left when you go back to the castle I assume that messes with flags badly.

    Also, this might just be me but I feel that the fact you have to collect 4 portal essences in the undead infested part of your island isn't telegraphed well at all. If they where a guaranteed drop from any undead instead of an occasional one from one of the Liches or if you needed just one instead of four it might be better.

    There's probably more but that's all I can think of of the top of my head.

  6. So, I just encountered a bug. I started a new game, played up to entering the desert then teleported back to sell some orc meat. After getting back to the desert (killing a bunch of orcs on the way) the game told me I had killed so many lizards they all left and wouldn't be back until I left, despite the fact that I haven't killed a single lizard this entire game.

  7. After letting the pickpocket in Rei Long Oak go, she now respawns every time I enter the map again, and I can 'catch' her again each time to get another 500 gold.

    Oh~ There is potential here.
    I would change this into a repeatable quest where she hides in different spot everytime and the divine would play "it". Every time he finds her she'd do something kinky as a reward. :P

  9. I realize the dice game in the casino is probably still a WIP, but at the moment it is completely broken in several ways. First of all, it takes forever. Watching five NPCs roll ten dice in a row is not very interesting. There's absolutely no reason not to make the target number much lower. I'd honestly suggest thirteen. Secondly, if the game uses fair odds for the dice, the game is horribly stacked against you, since everyone else rolls before you, thus getting a chance to hit the target number or just progressively push up the score to beat. Thirdly, and perhaps most importantly, winning the game does not currently work. Even if you win the game, you lose your wager and get nothing in return. I know this game is a work in progress, but if you include such a completely broken event in a release version, you should probably have the NPC say "THIS EVENT IS CURRENTLY UNFINISHED AND NON-FUNCTIONAL" before she offers you the chance to play.

  10. Not sure if this one is intentional or not, but...

    One of the potential prizes from the 'common' chests in the lottery is 7000 gold. Given the way the prize payouts scale, it would make more sense if this was 700 gold. If that's intentional, feel free to ignore this comment, but it seems a bit odd since it's higher than all but one of the cash payouts from the 'uncommon' chests.

  11. So, just became the Mayor of Everlight's lover, and I can apparently ask her to sponsor 'Michelle' to become mayor somewhere. No idea what that's about, so I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to be able to do that yet.

    In regards to adding broken/unfinished stuff into a release version of the game. Crou-tan been doin' that forever, get used to it. He relies on players to test content. Once long ago i told him to cut it off with adding unfinished stuff since it creates various confusions buut... he does it anyway. I think it is after that was when i suggested adding ends of questline as a compromise. You know, so people don't waste time looking for stuff that doesn't exist yet. Anyways, it's just how he likes doing things. :]

  13. The scene in the hospital where you overhear moans and go to look at a patient fucking a nurse causes a black screen that only goes away if you use the bug fixing item.

Oh and in addition the summons should have more skills or magic, the first summon in the game, may have a power related with fire, at least that what seems like, I did use the Lich in the older versions, but I have say the truth, that is skill set seems a little boring, it should have more skills relate with dead and black magic, it is just a suggestion through, sorry for my bad english it is not my first language

    Divine has a ton of summons, you want even more? Not that i would mind tho. I once leveled the summoning via cheats to levrl like 999 or something, did you get ALL of them already? I remember there were legendary summons or something... Like lich that has picture way too big for 800x600 lol. xD

I did not even care if he have more summons, the real issue is the skill set, it is too small, the skills are kinda useless, if I summon something or someone I want them to have a skills that reflect their race and power, Lich is a mage I would have him casting magic not attacking normally, he is a very powerful undead warlock it should have more spells than "sleep" and "poison", Wyrm is another case, is burst skill is so weak I did not believe the first time. I will say again, I did not mind the current summons available, if the skill set was something useful, the game is good just a little buggy sometimes.

    Well, to be fair, there are no enemies which would warrant bothering with summoning in the first place. Personally i think he need to change combat entirely for shit to become more relevant, and more importantly - fun.
    I mentioned which game has the right combat for his game in the first post btw. But there is a problem, the game is in rather late stage of thinga atm so i don't think he'll be changing it now. Well... I'm sure there are other ways to solve challenge late-game, same ol' hp-spoonging and damage-whoring that everyone else had been doing since forever. :)))

  18. Bug report : In the eastern part of Fuar, when talking to Paila (the woman that blocks the access to the hidden girl behind the house) and accepting her sexy request, you follow her to a house (text only), the conversation end without sexy stuff but the screen remains black.
    I was still able to press Esc, to choose the Teleportation skill to Fuar, blindy talked to Sophie (travel system) and only then ending the black screen bug.
